  1. Hey Guys,
Thanks for sharing your stories! “A little bird told me…” to listen to this and I’m glad I did. I’m also a tracker school student, classes up to the expert scout level, and a martial artist that has been studying the arts for the last 23 years. So many things came up that influenced my decision to write, the movie The Animal Communicator, (I cry every time I get to that panther scene, and other moments as well), and the fact that on the other side of the US I have been teaching a similar program that I call WFS, Wilderness Fighting System.

This was a great interview, any time I hear of people getting kids and adults (big kids) into nature and help make that connection, I love it. The combination of nature, martial arts, and the most important component….GRATITUDE, is truly what it is all about.

The only thing I disagree on, is the electronics. I will fight that fight till the day I’m dust in the wind! I don’t allow it, I think it’s a distraction, to the other kids, and to me especially. I agree that it’s great to have the social media and share events, happenings, and training, but it is not something that should happen regularly in my opinion. Like the monks Mark mentioned, leaving all of that stuff behind strengthens and enhances your connection.

    Aloha,
    Thom Schuchaskie
