We all know there’s connection to nature. Connection to self. Connection to others. I hope this email finds you ever more aware of connection itself and all that it moves for us in magical ways! Connection is made of love, if you ask me.

When was the last time you received a love letter?

Wherever this finds you in the world, know that I am thinking of our shared stories, looking at the sun, moon and stars, here in California, and knowing that they are the same sun, moon and stars which you see. These are the same celestial beings that our ancestors looked upon and from where they shared their stories through time. We are connected. I am grateful for your efforts to make this world a better place, whether you are a seeker, leader, tracker, mentor, parent, teacher, healer, artist or artisan.

Many of you know my story. My path, both personally and professionally, was set in motion when Tom Brown, Jr. saw me on the street corner, on that fateful day in 1971. His question to me was “what are you holding there?” and my proud response was “Common Eastern Snapping Turtle!”

What Tom saw was Mother Earth on a string. From that moment began a decade of mentoring, of questions and answers. Of errands and stories that helped me to develop ropes of connection to all things and sent me on a deep quest to understand connection and the ropes themselves.

What you might not know is that my subsequent search, from the Pine Barrens of New Jersey, to the Kalahari Desert of Southern Africa, looking for the underlying technologies of intact and regenerative communities, would lead me to codify these teachings and cultural elements, using the very same method our ancestors used: Storytelling.

What if there was a story for each and every teachable moment in your life?

I’ve worked hard for over 35 years to bring these stories together in a way that was clear and accessible, within a system of connection practices that are applicable no matter where in the world they are used.

Although many of these stories are told from my life experiences, I know that these stories are not for me. There is medicine in each of these stories that helps us see what we can create. Each story, like a star, helps to guide us. It’s all about what is moving – moving in these stories, moving within us, moving in our collective beings as a web of healing.

I’m writing today to invite you to celebrate a milestone in the movement – one that I hope will serve to support you in the work that you do, and connect you to others who share the vision of a world which honors children – and all people – and their birthright of deep connection.

In this time when so many of us feel divided and disconnected, it is essential for us to seek out the ways that we can come together in love and understanding.

I am dedicated to sharing a legacy of stories with as many people as I can. The future generations are counting on us. I really need your help.

“For some, who are travelers, the stars are guides. For others they are no more than little lights in the sky. For others, who are scholars, they are problems… But all these stars are silent. You-You alone will have stars as no one else has them… In one of the stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing.” -Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince

Please consider who within your circles might want to be a part of this important announcement. Feel free to share this email, and encourage them to join us on the call. I’m looking forward to hearing from you on the call event page which will be sent when you register for the call.
